Filmed on an iphone in Korsvika, Norway, this short visual piece was response to the prompt to make a 3 minute film about "reflection".

 

Inspired by Baudrillard's Simulacra and Simulation, the combination of real and untouched footage with manipulated and recreated visuals seeks to blur the lines between authentic and simulated. It explores a ubiquitous process of taking something natural and pushing it, studying and recreating it in a contrived and controlled manner, to a point where both the authentic source and its product are unrecognisable as "real".
